Waves, Lighthouse,

bookcovers

Dalloway

Mrs Dalloway I first read in the window seat of a red-eye flight (bought at an airport kiosk because the Penguin Classics edition lured me in with a lovely retro cover, in the perfect paperback size, with the most pleasantly pliable binding). I read it in one sitting that night as I sat in that flying Pringles tube, lost in the rhythm of the characters thoughts. And although ‘To the Lighthouse’ seemed to me a bit like Mrs. Dalloway on Holiday, reading ‘The Waves’ coated my mind with sentence after luscious sentence, eventually inspiring these cover designs.
